President Obama is sending up to 450 additional military advisers to Iraq.

The announcement comes after the militant group that calls itself the Islamic State has made several battleground gains in Iraq and Syria in recent weeks. The Islamic State is also known as ISIS or ISIL.

“The president authorized the deployment of up to 450 additional U.S. military personnel to train, advise, and assist Iraqi Security Forces at Taqaddum military base in eastern Anbar province,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement today.

President Obama on ISIS Fight: ‘We Don’t Yet Have a Complete Strategy’

White House Sticks by Its Strategy Against ISIS

The focus for the new troops will be to provide training to Iraqi security forces in their mission to reclaim lost territory from ISIS in Anbar province, where ISIS completed a takeover of the capital city of Ramadi last month. The troops will not serve in a combat role, officials said.

“These new advisers will work to build capacity of Iraqi forces, including local tribal fighters, to improve their ability to plan, lead, and conduct operations against ISIL in eastern Anbar under the command of the Prime Minister,” Earnest said in a statement.

The White House said the president is sending the additional troops at the request of Iraq’s prime minister, in addition to recommendations from the his national security team.

The coalition currently conducts training for Iraqi military troops at four bases for conventional troops and another for special operations forces. Today’s announcement expands training operations to a new base in eastern Anbar.

Once Anbar is reclaimed, the focus will shift to recapturing Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city, which has been under ISIS control for a year now.

The U.S. currently has 3,080 troops in Iraq, just under the cap of 3,100, but that number fluctuates daily between 3,000 to 3,100, according to officials.

In addition to the new troops, the president’s revised strategy puts a priority on expediting the delivery of weapons and other equipment to Iraqi forces and tribal forces fighting in coordination.

This what happens when you play politics and pander for votes, Once you are a lame duck them more agendas come out and they are seen for more than they have tried to appear for the IDIOT voters. Members of his own party have been bailing on him for some time because they are also concerned about themselves and not what is best for all involved.

Dipshit of the day: Link Elementary School in Houston……

Trinecia Blacklock watched her classmates get called out one by one at her fifth grade graduation ceremony last week at Link Elementary School in Houston.

By the end of the ceremony, her and her parents told CBS affiliate KHOU in Houston the wheelchair-bound student’s name was never read aloud.

“They closed up the ceremony and then forgot to call my name,” said Blacklock.

Her mom, Tonisha McCowan, said they only remembered to do so when she prompted them.

“How they missed her sitting there by herself down there in a wheelchair, I don’t know,” said McCowan.

Even if they had remembered to call her in time, Blacklock said she wouldn’t have been able to fully take part.

“I wish I would have gone across the stage, but they have no ramp, nothing but stairs,” said Blacklock.

While Blacklock has her certificate, and her family bought her a cake to celebrate, the joys of the day were dimmed, her mom said.

“It was just all very humiliating,” said McCowan. “Her joy from that day was stripped from right under her.”

In a statement, school administrators said they offered Blacklock and her family an apology, and that they plan on reviewing graduation procedures.

“Although the school had good intentions in acknowledging the student’s academic achievement, accommodations should have been made so the student could fully participate in the program or the program should have been adjusted,” the statement read.

We constantly read about schools telling everyone to be more sensitive towards others, No Pork or white bread in front of Muslims, No flying the American flag on Cinco deMayo. They have this big need to feel they are the champions defending the rights of all the world. But they seriously are not thinking through there was a wheelchair bound student in the graduating class? And do not make arrangements for her to cross the stage? Then are so totally insensitive that they do not even call her name as graduating with her class?

We really need to take a good look at what is going on in the FUCKING schools these days.

Assault with a Deadly PIZZA PIZZA?

Pinellas County sheriff’s Office

Daniel Plunkett is behind bars for allegedly throwing a hot slice of pizza at his female roommate during an argument, which violated his probation for a prior drunken driving conviction.

A Florida man was put behind bars for drunkenly battering his female roommate with a hot slice of pizza, police said.

Daniel Plunkett, 50, allegedly threw the scorching slice at Brenda Fiejdasz, 56, after they argued over the pie at their Treasure Island home Wednesday night, reports The Smoking Gun.

Cops were called and Fiejdasz claimed the airborne portion hit her in the left hand.

Officers noted she had pizza sauce on her right shoulder. Plunkett had sauce on his bare chest and shorts, according to a police report.

Fiejdasz confessed she hadn’t been injured by the wayward wedge, but said the incident had left her and another witness scared.

Plunkett denied throwing the pie and then claimed he was in fact the victim.

But cops arrested him for misdemeanor simple battery.

My personal opinion is that there is no such thing as a bad pizza, Just some that are misunderstood and just need a hug, But not to be used as a projectile………

What the Fuck? K-12 school makes field trip to sex toy store

A school field trip to the Smitten Kitten, an adult toy store, is raising some eyebrows, and may soon involve the Minneapolis Police Department. School leaders at Gaia Democratic School in Minneapolis still fully support the trip to the Smitten Kitten in Uptown, a self-proclaimed “progressive sex toy store for everyone.”

That support isn’t sitting well with Lynn Floyd, who at the time of the trip was sending his three kids to the school. He was so upset after learning two of his daughters, ages 11 and 13, were on that field trip, he pulled all three from the school. He also filed a police report, accusing the school’s leadership of exposing minors to pornographic material. Additionally, he is considering filing a lawsuit against the school.

Floyd said he originally enrolled his kids at the private school because of its emphasis on academic freedom and student-led instruction. The school, on its website, describes its philosophy as follows:

“Gaia is a private school that provides holistic educational services to students K-12 with emphasis on democratic process, individualized instruction, academic freedom, self-motivation, cooperative learning, youth empowerment, and environmental stewardship. We are part of an education movement that has a long, fascinating history and a vibrant, viable future.”

Floyd claims this field trip crossed a line.

“I wanted our children to grow up and remain children as long as possible,” Floyd said.

Floyd said last week, the school’s sex education teacher took about a dozen middle and high school students — Gaia is a K-12 school — to the store. His kids came home and shared what they had seen, but he didn’t know anything about the trip before it was already over. Then, Floyd withdrew his daughters, including a 3-year-old who also attends the school.

The sex education teacher is also the school’s director, and wouldn’t talk to Fox 9 when asked for comment.

The school board posted a letter to its website saying it stands behind the field trip and it views it as a legitimate learning experience that relates directly to topics covered during a year-long sexual health class.

“Despite the burst of publicity in our last weeks of school, Gaia Democratic School’s board of directors stands behind the premise of the field trip; we view it as a legitimate learning experience that relates directly to topics covered during our yearlong Sexual Health class. Our inclass discussions paved the way to a store visit and the participants communicated to us that the trip was a positive educational experience. No student was required to attend,” the statement reads, in part.

FULL STATEMENT: [PDF]

The owner of the Smitten Kitten said in a statement, “the store is a resource for sound science based sex-ed information, and leaves it up to parents and guardians to use their discretion when seeking resources.”

A Minneapolis zoning inspector visited the Smitten Kitten this week because minors were inside. The inspector found some sexually explicit material that should have been covered up that a store clerk says they have since taken care of.

Floyd remains upset and maintains he wants “justice.”

If that were my kids and that was done I would seriously have some ones ass. 12 yrs old and younger taking a field trip to a sex toy shop? What the fuck do they want these kids to learn? This is lunacy!!!

Psycho officer In Mckinney resigns………..

McKinney Police Corporal Eric Casebolt has resigned after video showed him pushing a 15-year-old girl in a swimsuit to the ground and pointing his firearm at other teens.

Casebolt’s lawyer informed FOX4 of Casebolt’s decision on Tuesday afternoon.

McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley said Casebolt’s actions were “indefensible” during a Tuesday evening press conference.

“He came into the call out of control and as the video shows was out of control during the incident.” Conley said. “I had 12 officers on the scene and 11 of them performed according to their training.”

The video of the Friday incident involving Casebolt at a McKinney neighborhood pool went viral and had initially landed Casebolt on administrative leave while police officials conduct an investigation.

Casebolt was seen pulling Dajerria Becton to the ground and pinning her with his knees while she cried out. He also pulled out his gun and pointed it at other teens and briefly ran after them before being stopped by two fellow McKinney police officers. Throughout the video Casebolt is heard repeatedly cursing.

“Our policies, our training, our practice do not support his actions,” Conley said.

Mayor Brian Loughmiller said Tuesday during the press conference that the “incident is not indicative of McKinney as a whole.”

Casebolt had served in the Navy for a decade from 1993-2003. He was an operations specialist for seven years and in the military police for another three years.

From 2003-2005 he was a highway patrol trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Casebolt’s now-deleted LinkedIn account stated Casebolt joined the McKinney police force in 2005.

Casebolt was also listed as an instructor at the McKinney-based Executive Self-Defense & Fitness Training. Its listing said Casebolt had trained in “several different disciplines of martial arts, but now exclusively trains in Krav Maga combat arts, Arnis, and ground fighting.”

The company has since deleted any reference to Casebolt from its website.

This guy did need to go, He escalated a situation that was starting to calm and then brandished a weapon unnecessarily. There too many good officers out there that are trying to do a good job and he just made it more difficult for them.

Another question is why did he leave the Texas Dept. of Public safety after 10 years.

The sad part is, by him resigning he can apply to other agencies and be hired again. I have seen this many times before in my career.

Retro of the day: T REX

Get It On” is a song by the British glam rock group T. Rex, featured on their 1971 album Electric Warrior. Written by frontman Marc Bolan, “Get It On” was the second chart-topper for T. Rex on the UK Singles Chart. In the United States, the song was retitled “Bang a Gong (Get It On)” to avoid confusion with a song of the same name by the group Chase.

Bolan claimed to have written the song out of his desire to record Chuck Berry‘s “Little Queenie“, and said that the riff is taken from the Berry song. In fact, a line (And meanwhile, I’m still thinking) of “Little Queenie” is said at the fade of “Get It On”.[2]

This was the song that virtually ended the once-solid friendship between Bolan and John Peel, after Peel made clear his lack of enthusiasm for the song on air after playing his advance white label copy. Bolan and Peel only spoke once more before the former’s death in 1977
