Dipshit of the day: Stockton police K9 officer

NITRO

Stockton police say that one of its dogs died Tuesday when the air conditioner on the patrol car of his officer-handler failed.

Suffering from the heat, the dog was rushed to a veterinarian where he was pronounced dead.

“It is with great sadness that we must inform you that one of our Police K9s, Nitro, died,” the department posted on its Facebook page.

Police said that the dog was deployed when officers were working a call about 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 8600 block of Santa Paula Way. Officers were there to arrest a man on numerous warrants.

Nitro caught the suspect when he fled, police said. Ramon Garibay, 19, was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and the outstanding warrants.

After being deployed, the dog was returned to the police car while his handler assisted other officers with a crowd that was gathering. The department said it appears the air conditioner in the K-9 patrol unit stopped working, resulting in the animal overheating.

“This situation is obviously devastating for our K9 Handler and the entire Police Department is mourning this loss,” the Facebook post went on to say.

Not acceptable in any way shape or form. The condition of that dog should have been monitored in this heat, just like he would have checked on the status of any other partner.

In addition there is a lot of time and money put into these animals and they should be given more consideration.

And the ignorance continues: TV Land pulls ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ reruns

The debate over the Confederate flag continues to spread to the entertainment world.

A week after Warner Bros. announced it would no longer sanction the manufacturing of “Dukes of Hazzard” merchandise featuring the flag, TV Land announced it’s pulling reruns of the 1980s’ TV series featuring John Schneider and Tom Wopat as Bo and Luke Duke in fictional Hazzard County, Georgia.

In a statement to ABC News, the network confirmed Wednesday that the show had been “removed” from its schedule, while declining to comment further.

Reruns can still be found on CMT and online.

TV Land’s decision comes amid a growing national debate over the use of the Confederate flag, which was painted on the roof of The General Lee, the orange Dodge Charger driven by the Duke boys.

One of the show’s stars, Ben Jones, who played Cooter Davenport, has come out in support of the flag.

“That flag on top of The General Lee made a statement that the values of the rural south were the values of courage and family and good times,” he wrote on Facebook last week.

Jones, who also served in Congress as a Georgia Democrat, was responding to vows from retailers Walmart, Sears, eBay, Amazon and crafts site Etsy to ban sales of Confederate flag merchandise.

Earlier this week, actress Aunjanue Ellis, known for her work in “Ray,” “The Help,” and “NCIS LA,” announced that she had created a coalition to ban production in her home state of Mississippi until the confederate flag emblem is removed from the state’s flag.

Calling the state flag “a blatant symbol of oppression and inequality,” Ellis also announced at a press conference that she was moving her film company, Miss Myrtis Films, to Louisiana until the flag has been changed.

This current “FAD” and band wagon is getting silly. Especially since Nazi flags and Satanic symbols and the like are ok.

This is turning into a big FUCKING joke…….

Conservatives Blast NBC for Firing Donald Trump While Keeping Al Sharpton

Conservatives took to social media to blast NBC for a perceived double standard in cutting ties with Donald Trump Monday for his comments about Mexican immigrants while keeping Al Sharpton despite the pastor-turned-MSNBC host’s numerous controversial remarks over the years.

Fox News mainstays like Greta van Susteren and Brit Hume joined Right-leaning radio hosts such as Neal Boortz, Larry Elder and Jason Mattera in questioning the network’s dumping of Trump while keeping Sharpton in place.

Sharpton, they argue, is just as guilty for making “demeaning” comments about race, religion and homosexuality. Despite his well-documented controversial statements, Sharpton maintains his MSNBC hosting gig.

Elder launched the social media tiff against NBC on Sunday and was quickly joined by his right-leaning peers.

NBC is ending its relationship with Donald Trump. But the race hustling anti-Semitic bigot, Al Sharpton, not a problem. #DonaldTrump

NBC “We don’t want to be associated with Donald Trump because of some of his comments, and now back to the Al Sharpton Show”

I keep getting emails saying this:”NBC dumps @realDonaldTrump but not Al Sharpton”

– Greta Van Susteren (@greta) June 30, 2015

Wow. @nbc finds Donald Trump offensive. But not Al Sharpton. Wait! Almost forgot. Trump is white. Never mind.

I’m calling on NBC to fire Al Sharpton, whose words & actions for decades have been hateful & demeaning

– Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) June 30, 2015

How can a network that employs Al Sharpton can suddenly decide Trump is too controversial to associate with? http://t.co/L1TpdQ7p5K

Meanwhile, NBC still employs reverend racist Al Sharpton… http://t.co/iejbh4nKRu

“Do they apply that standard to Al Sharpton?” Brit Hume on NBC firing @RealDonaldTrumphttps://t.co/73VQ4VvvMx

We have a great big set of double standards in this country these days. If there is an issue with one of these men there should be an issue with the other.

And yet Another Wal-Mart Incident…….

Authorities in central Georgia say up to 50 teenagers bent on destruction raced into a Wal-Mart in Macon, smashing merchandise and causing an estimated $2,000 in damage.

Bibb County sheriff’s officials say some of the young people snatched a man from a motorized shopping cart and dragged him to the floor during the rampage around 2 a.m. Sunday.

Sheriff’s officials said one of the teens later told a Wal-Mart employee the goal was to see how much damage they could cause.

Sheriff’s officials say floors were coated with broken merchandise.

The Telegraph reports that the teens ran when deputies arrived, but a 17-year-old boy was arrested when he returned to the store to retrieve his cellphone.

Bibb County Sheriff David Davis said investigators are using surveillance video to try and identify suspects.

Too many incidents at Walmart lately, expect some changes. But this is the type of crowd they cater to.

Retro of the day: Journey

Don’t Stop Believin’” is an anthem by the American rock band Journey, originally released as a single from their seventh studio album Escape (1981). It became a number 9 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 on its original release. In the United Kingdom, the song was not a Top 40 hit on its original release; however, it did reach number 6 on a 2009 re-release, having gained increased popularity through its use on television.

Mike DeGagne of AllMusic has described “Don’t Stop Believin'” as a “perfect rock song”[2] and an “anthem”, featuring “one of the best opening keyboard riffsin rock.”[3] It is one of the top-selling catalog tracks in digital history.

While the lyrics mention being “born and raised in south Detroit“, there is no place in the Detroit area actually called South Detroit; the location south of downtown Detroit is the Canadian city of Windsor, Ontario.[7] Steve Perry has said, “I tried north Detroit, I tried east and west and it didn’t sing, but south Detroit sounded so beautiful. I loved the way it sounded, only to find out later it’s actually Canada.”[7] In theory, the cities south of Detroit within US borders could also be considered “South Detroit,” and would collectively include the Michigan cities of River Rouge, Lincoln Park, Southgate, Wyandotte, and Riverview. These cities are also formally known as “Downriver.”
