Multiple news outlets around the globe have reported that Pres. Donald Trump plans to publish a weekly list of crimes committed by illegal immigrants that occur in the sanctuary cities and do not cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

The list is intended to inform the public and others about safety threats associated with sanctuary cities.

This is according to an executive order that trumpet signed Wednesday.

Homeland security will report on a weekly basis, making public a comprehensive list of criminal actions committed by illegal aliens and any authority that ignored or otherwise failed to honor any detainers with respect to such aliens the order said.

The mayor of New York, which is one of about 300 sanctuary cities across United States, stated he would not change its policy in the face of trumps threat of withholding federal funding of cities that do not comply with this order.

The NYPD stated Wednesday the city has a list of roughly 170 criminal offenses that are not covered by the sanctuary policy, and they notify federal officials when illegal immigrants are charged with those crimes.

That list includes serious crime such as felony assault, rape, murder, and terrorism as well as gun smuggling and witness tampering.

Steinle Lopez-Sanchez

In July 2015, this issue came to the forefront in San Francisco, California when Kathryn Steinle, was killed on Pier 14 in the Embarcadero district by Juan Francisco Lopez – Sanchez.

Sanchez was an illegal immigrant from Mexico would been deported on five different occasions for a variety of crimes, mostly drug related.

Recently I saw a Facebook post that had this reference:
