Monalisa Perez, 19, shot 22-year-old Pedro Ruiz in the chest from a foot away, while he held an encyclopedia as a shield, And has been charged with manslaughter.

It was a stunt they hoped would make them famous on YouTube, but he died at the scene.

Her twitter post:

Unfortunately, the prank went very wrong, and the bullet went through the book and into Ruiz’s chest, killing him before he could be air-lifted for medical treatment, WDAY-TV reported.

According to the station, Perez fired from about a foot away.

Perez told authorities that Ruiz thought the prank would work because he’d shot a different book and the bullet did not go all the way through.

The couple often made prank videos and posted them on YouTube under the name La MonaLisa. In one of the videos, Perez tries to prank Ruiz with a sandwich filled with hot peppers, and in another, the couple detail their stay at a haunted hotel.

Judge Blocks California’s High-Capacity Magazine Ban

A federal judge is blocking a California law set to go into effect Saturday that would have barred gun owners from possessing high-capacity ammunition magazines.

San Diego-based U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez said in ruling Thursday that the law banning possession of magazines containing more than 10 bullets would have made criminals of thousands of otherwise law-abiding citizens who now own the magazines.

He issued a preliminary injunction backing the legal challenge by the National Rifle Association-affiliated California Rifle & Pistol Association.

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who is defending the state law, did not immediately comment.

The judge says the law approved by voters in November takes away gun owners’ Second Amendment rights and amounts to the government taking people’s private property without compensation.

SHE IS A PROUD MEMBER OF GUINESS WORLD RECORDS

(NOT A DISTINCTION I WOULD WANT)

A 36-year old woman from Michigan has made a crashing entrance into the Guinness Book of World Records yesterday at the Harper University Hospital, by giving birth to her 14th child, all born from different fathers. According to the internationally recognized authority on the cataloging and verification of world records, Anita Sullivan has just become the first woman in recorded history to conceive children with more than thirteen different men.

“I’m extremely proud to have broken a World Record,” Ms. Sullivan told reporters.”My mother always told me that I was lazy and worthless, and that I would never accomplish anything in my life. Now, I’ve shown everyone that she was wrong, and that I can even be the best in the world when I put my mind to something. In fact, I’ve just accomplished something that no one had done before!”

Anita Sullivan says she’s been unlucky with relationships in the past, but she believes that this time she may have found the man of her life.

DON’T BOTHER PAYING THAT TRAFFIC FINE ANYMORE…….

California lawmakers showing typical two-faced hypocrisy

by Marty Carlson

2-28-2017

Some people in California will no longer face losing their drivers licenses because of unpaid traffic tickets.

State Sen. Bob Hertzberg introduced legislation to ensure people’s lives are not derailed by traffic tickets, California Gov. Jerry Brown said the punishment of suspending drivers licenses to collect unpaid fines can send low income people into a cycle of job losses and more poverty.

Brown has approved the provision as part of a series of bills he signed Tuesday that will be enacted in the state budget starting next month. It will prevent courts from suspending drivers license simply because of unpaid fines.

The governor stated there does not appear to be a strong connection between license suspensions and collecting the fines, in the primary consequence his inability to legally drive to work or take one’s children to school.

In March about 488,000 people had suspended driver’s license for unpaid tickets for missing court appearances, according to Department of Motor Vehicles.

Opponents argue that the suspensions are a useful tool to compel people to pay fines, but supporters of this bill say losing the ability to drive prevents people from earning money and actually make low income drivers less likely to pay fines.

Courts will still be able to suspend licenses for other infractions like failing to appear in court.

Sen. Hertzberg also has a related bill advancing through the legislature that would allow low income people who cannot afford their traffic tickets to ask the judge to lower fines or substitute them the service.

DAWGS SAYS:

The governor of the state always likes to make statements about the bit well-being of the low income people, but is more than willing to put exorbitant taxes and fees on their registrations and gasoline purchased. That seems to be a two-faced hypocrisy that we keep hearing out of Sacramento these days. Either you are concerned for the low income people or you’re not, they need to be more consistent.

RACISM IS RACISM NO MATTER WHAT……..

WHITE HATING RACIST FIRED FROM JOB

6-26-2017

FROM MEDIAITE.COM:

Earlier this month, Essex County College adjunct professor Lisa Durden appeared on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight and things got pretty heated. Discussing a Black Lives Matter Memorial Day event that was only open to black people, Durden dismissed host Tucker Carlson’s concerns, mocking saying “boo hoo hoo” while adding that “white people are angry because you couldn’t use your white privilege card.”

In the wake of the combative segment, which included Carlson calling the professor “demented,” Durden found herself suspended by the college. As of this past Friday, Durden no longer works at the school.

In a statement, Essex County College President Anthony E. Munroe explained that after a “fair and thorough review,” the college had decided they could no longer “maintain an employment relationship with the adjunct.” He also had this to say about Durden’s remarks: “Racism cannot be fought with more racism.”

Following her firing on Friday, Durden told NJ.com that she’s received quite a bit of support from students and faculty and that she believed the school would have her back after her Fox News appearance.

“It should be a safe place for me,” she said of Essex County College. “I thought when I came home from war, I would be safe.” Instead, she said, “I was fired.”

She also said she’s considering legal action against the college for terminating her.
