NEW FEATURE: THE TRAVELS OF PETER…….

March 9,2018

When you’re down in the Big Valley, looking toward the snow-capped Sierra, it is easy to think that you might bet a better view of the high peaks if you travel into the foothills. But that turns out to not be the case – when you get up into the hills, they block the view of the higher country beyond. I was up at Lake McClure last week & got a photo of some snow which had been dropped a day or two before by a cold storm, all the way down at about the 1500 foot level. But I had to retreat down to the valley floor to get the shots of snow higher up in the mountains.
