Ever heard of Daniel Amen 18/40/60 rule?
When you’re 18, you worry about what everybody is thinking of you.
At 18, right from the kind of dresses you wear, the field of study you choose, the person you want to fall in love with…most of these decisions are highly influenced by ‘What will others think of me?’
When you’re 40, you don’t give a damn what anybody thinks of you;
At 40, you would have understood how taking decisions to please others had affected you. You would have gained little mettle and try not to worry about others.
And when you’re 60, you realize nobody’s been thinking about you at all.
At 60, finally you will finally get the divine wisdom— Nobody ever gave a damn about you in the first place.
All those people actually spent most of their time thinking about themselves—about their issues, their future, their family and their opportunities. They didn’t have much time to focus on you. They had only spent 1E-199 of their time to just take a look at you and you have lived your whole life for that tiny glance.
Keep it in perspective…….
