Probably everyone has at least heard of the Monopoly board game. But the next time you go shopping for this game, you might notice a couple of changes in the new version as compared to the traditional version of the game.

The new game goes by the name Ms. Monopoly. And you guessed it–the game has been created by Hasbro to celebrate women empowerment.

Complete with a new female mascot on the cover, the new game will allow female players to earn more money than their male counterparts.

So, while a man will only get 200 points after passing “go”, women will get 240 dollars.

Hasbro wanted a game where women make more than men, and this game achieves just that. There is no doubt that many feminists will love the game and the notion it promotes.

According to a statement from the company, the game provides a “fun new take on the game.” Apparently, this “creates a world where women have an advantage often enjoyed by men.”

But does that mean you are doomed to make less if you play this game as a guy? According to the company, that is absolutely not the case.

“If men play their cards right, they can make more money too.” But based on the games unique design, you will have to try harder as a man just to make as much as a female player.

So yes, men will have a bit of a disadvantage as the women will have an upper hand with their enhanced earning potential.

However, the game’s uniqueness goes far beyond offering a bigger pay to its female players.

For instance, rather than focus on property, the players will have to invest in things women have created such as Wi-Fi and chocolate chip cookies.

Some things have not changed though. For instance, there are still jails, chance cards, and luxury taxes.

A few weeks before Hasbro introduced this game, it had unveiled Monopoly Socialism, another variant of the popular classic board game.

But the game was not received well by many people. It was criticized for the way it portrayed socialism.

Earlier, the company came up with Monopoly for Millennials. That was back in 2018. The game made fun at some stereotypes associated with this generation such as veganism and avocado toast.

Anyway, for those who would like to play Ms. Monopoly when it finally hits the shelves, pre-ordering began on September 10.

We can’t wait to see what other interesting twist they will explore with their next Monopoly remake.
