WHO GETS A STIMULUS CHECK?

WHO GETS A STIMULUS CHECK?

A BRIEF SYNOPSIS

A proposed $1 trillion GOP bill meant to soften the financial blow of coronavirus would mean extra money for millions of Americans. But who gets some? How much do they get? And who doesn’t get anything at all?

If passed, billions of dollars in government checks would be mailed out to American households.

Those funds will divvy up depending on a taxpayer’s unique financial and familial situation.

By and large, single people get the least. Anyone earning $75,000 a year or less would receive $1,200.

A married couple with combined earnings of $150,00 or under can expect a $2,400 check.

The cost of child-rearing has been taken into consideration as well, and families with children would receive $500 per kid.

People who take home a little more than $75,000 annually haven’t been left out entirely, but they do get an increasingly small piece of the money.

For every $100 an individual earns over $75,000, $5 is deducted from their stimulus check — until the $99,000 mark is reached, at which point the $1,200 is totally gone.

Similarly, couples wouldn’t receive a cent if they’re pulling in $198,000 together.

The “Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act” stimulus package is also aimed at assisting businesses financially and bolstering the nation’s healthcare infrastructure.

It’s uncertain when or even if the legislation will pass, as Republicans and Democrats have quickly reached disagreements over the proposal, CNN reported.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said the plan had “virtually no input from Democrats,” and that it provides for corporate bailouts, according to CNN.

DAWG SAYS: IT LOOKS PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD, BUT LETS SEE THE POLITICIANS SCREW IT UP. ESPECIALLY AFTER LISTENING TO SCHUMER WHINE ABOUT NO DEMOCRATS INVOLVED LIKE THAT MATTERS TO THE PEOPLE HURTING RIGHT NOW AND REALLY NEED THE MONEY BADLY

WEIRD NEWS: KID ROCK WAS ORDERED TO PRODUCE GLASS DILDO

EVIDENCE IN INSANE CLOWN POSSE LAWSUIT

From 2014

Well, this is probably the classiest story on the music internet this morning. Andrea Pellegrini, a former publicist for the Insane Clown Posse, is suing the Detroit duo for sexual harassment, and among other allegations (e.g., the 2012 Gathering Of The Juggalos was “a living hell”) she claims that the former ICP and Psychopathic Records employee “Dirty Dan” Diamond tried to give her a glass dildo as a gift once. When she refused to accept it, Pellegrini claims that Diamond gave the, um, item to Kid Rock, who apparently still has possession of it. The Detroit Free Press reports that Pellegrini’s attorneys have subpoenaed Kid Rock, telling him to give up the glass dildo so that they can use it as evidence. Beyond the obvious troubling-if-true harassment allegations, this whole thing raises some questions. For instance: Isn’t it bad etiquette to give someone a gift after someone else has already turned it down? Kid Rock appeared on ICP’s first album Carnival Of Carnage 22 years ago! Doesn’t he deserve his own glass dildo? Also, how’s Kid Rock even supposed to find the dildo in what’s sure to be an extensive glass dildo collection? I hope he’s got them all clearly labeled.
