On Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 4:03 p.m. Twin Peaks Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a shooting at 22400 Glenwood Drive.
Upon arrival deputies found the victim, later identified as Marc Angelucci, unresponsive and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Medical aid also responded and Angelucci was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
According to witnesses a white “skinny” male approximately, 40 to 50-years-old with salt and pepper colored hair (either black with gray or dark brown with gray),
Approached Marc’s front door and one of his roommates opened and greeted the man.
Posing as a package delivery driver the man asked if the roommate was Marc Angelucci.
When the roommate stated he wasn’t but that he could take the package for Marc, the assassin stated Marc needed to personally sign for it.
His roommate went back inside and informed Marc who then came to the door to sign for the package.
Witnesses stated that the assassin was heard asking the victim if his name was Marc.
The victim was heard confirming it was before four gunshots rang out.
A white vehicle with a sunroof is the only suspected getaway vehicle description and as the investigation proceeds the information may change
Angelucci was the vice president and board member of the National Coalition for Men. He was the longtime president of the group’s Los Angeles chapter, which he founded.
“Marc was an unbelievably generous man, living on a shoestring despite some personal health challenges so he could donate many millions of dollars of his time.
To mostly voluntary legal work on behalf of men’s rights and the genuine gender equality that is so badly needed in this country and this world,” the National Coalition For Men said in a statement.
Marc had recently won a case involving equal protection against the Selective Service Administration.
That win overturned a male-only draft registration. Marc had previously won a case in California,
Woods. V. Horton, which stated that it was now unconstitutional to exclude male victims of domestic violence from state funding for victim services.
