NANCY PELOSI: DIPSHIDIOT OF THE DAY

‘The salon owes me an apology for setting me up

A defiant House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday claimed she was “set up”,

And a hair salon in San Francisco “owes” her an “apology” after it was revealed the California Democrat visited the business,

Despite local ordinances keeping salons closed amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Pelosi, D-Calif., was responding to backlash after Fox News first reported that she visited a ESalonSF in San Francisco on Monday afternoon for a wash and blow-out.

Salons in San Francisco had been closed since March and were only notified they could reopen on Sept. 1 for outdoor hairstyling services only.

NANCY PELOSI: DIPSHIDIOT OF THE DAY BLAMING SALON

Pelosi, Wednesday, responded, saying she has been to the salon “over the years many times.”

“I take responsibility for trusting the word of the neighborhood salon that I have been to many times,” Pelosi told reporters Wednesday.

“When they said they could accommodate people one at a time, and we can set up that time, I trusted that.”

She added: “As it turns out, it was a set up. So I take responsibility for falling for a set up.”

“The salon owes me an apology for setting me up,” she added.

In security footage obtained by Fox News, and timestamped Monday at 3:08 p.m. Pacific Time,

The California powerhouse is seen walking through ESalonSF in San Francisco with wet hair, and without a mask over her mouth or nose.

The stylist doing her hair can be seen following her wearing a black face mask.

Pelosi, on Wednesday, downplayed the fact that she didn’t wear a mask in the salon.

“I just had my hair washed. I don’t wear my mask when I’m washing my hair,” she said.

“Do you wear one when you wash your hair?”

Meanwhile, during an exclusive interview with Fox News Tuesday, salon owner Erica Kious cast Pelosi’s visit as a double standard.

“”It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know,

That she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,”

Kious told Fox News, adding that she “can’t believe” the speaker didn’t have a mask on. (From the footage, it appears Pelosi had some kind of covering around her neck.)

“We’re supposed to look up to this woman, right?” Kious said. “It is just disturbing.”

Asked for comment on Tuesday, Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill maintained that the speaker was following the rules as presented to her.

DAWG SAYS THIS DIPSHIT NOW WANTS TO SAY THEY SET HER UP? OMFG!!!

AND FOLLOWING THE RULES PRESENTED TO HER? SHE MAKES THE DAM RULES!!!

AND IT IS ALWAYS SOMEONE ELSES FAULT DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler says he’ll move after protest outside his condo building draws arrests, widespread calls for change

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler says he’s looking for a new place to live,

After his Pearl District condo building has been the site of repeated demonstrations,

Including on Monday when crowds demanded he resign and some people set fires and broke windows.

In an email Tuesday from Wheeler to other residents of the 16-floor high-rise tower,

The mayor said it would be “best for me and for everyone else’s safety and peace” that he finds a new home.

He assured people that police are taking their safety concerns seriously,

And invited them to a Thursday evening meeting that will include himself and officers to voice their concerns.

“I want to express my sincere apologies for the damage to our home and the fear that you are experiencing due to my position,”

according to a screenshot of the email sent to The Oregonian/OregonLive.

“It’s unfair to all of you who have no role in politics or in my administration.”

The building has 114 units and retail space on the bottom floor.

Wheeler bought his two-bedroom condo for $840,000 in 2017, according to Multnomah County property records.

DIPSHIDIOT OF THE DAY PORTLAND MAYOR TED WHEELER

Protests calling for policing and social justice reforms have taken place daily throughout the city since late May.

Demonstrators have gathered outside Wheeler’s condo building sporadically since mid-June, At least twice when he was not there.

On Monday, Wheeler’s 58th birthday, some in a group of more than 200 graffitied and damaged the building,

And sidewalk and threw a burning bundle of newspapers into retail space in the building.

Police arrested 19 people during the demonstration.

Most are accused of disorderly conduct and interfering with a peace officer;

The latter is the most common accusation levied against protesters arrested during demonstrations over the last three months.

A widely circulated video recorded by an Oregon Public Broadcasting reporter during the overnight demonstration,

shows one Portland officer tackling another person to the ground and repeatedly punching them in the head.

The mayor’s office said Tuesday that case will likely be reviewed by the city’s Independent Police Review.

In a public statement, Wheeler described both the officer’s punches and damages to the area buildings as “senseless violence.”

“These acts range from stupid, to dangerous, to criminal,” Wheeler said.

“The violence must stop. None of this should sit well with any thinking Portlander.”

DAWG SAYS: THIS IS SERIOUS KARMA,

THIS MAYOR TRIED TO APPEASE VIOLENT PEOPLE BY ASS KISSING

AND LETTING THEM DEGRADE HIM PUBLICLY.

NOW THEY KNOW HOW VULNERABLE HE IS,

AND HE IS PAYING A BIG PRICE FOR NOT ACTING LIKE A MAN.

PORTLAND WANTS HELP WITH RIOTS

PORTLAND WANTS HELP WITH RIOTS

Pro- Trump and pro-police demonstrators clashed with anti-fascist counterprotesters on the 87th day of protests against police violence and systemic racism.

PORTLAND WANTS HELP WITH RIOTS

Three law enforcement agencies announced Monday they would decline Gov. Kate Brown’s invitation to assist Portland police with ongoing demonstrations.

A day after Gov. Kate Brown asked three law enforcement agencies to help out policing Portland’s nightly protests, all three said they won’t do it.

Brown’s plan, announced on the heels of a fatal Saturday shooting, asked for more law enforcement to “bring violence and arson to an end in Portland.”

Part of the plan asked for the Gresham Police Department and the Sheriff’s offices in Clackamas and Washington counties to assist with demonstrations.

All three of the neighboring agencies are now declining.

Despite violence in the streets, police were notably absent and never declared an unlawful assembly.

“Increasing law enforcement resources in Portland will not solve the nightly violence and now, murder,”

Read a statement from Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts Monday afternoon.

Roberts added that he’d never been contacted about the plan by the Governor’s office.

NO ACCOUNTABILITY POLICY AND TOO HIGH OF A RISK

He pointed to a new policy by Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt as part of the reason for declining.

Schmidt has said he will not prosecute low-level arrests made at Portland protests.

Half an hour later, a statement from the Washington County Sheriff’s office arrived:

“At this time, I do not plan to send deputies to work directly in Portland,” read the statement from Sheriff Pat Garrett.

“The lack of political support for public safety, the uncertain legal landscape,

The current volatility combined with intense scrutiny on use of force presents an unacceptable risk if deputies were deployed directly.”

Garrett wrote the sheriff’s office will continue to support the Portland police through “indirect ways,”

Such as air support and assisting with some criminal investigations.

After an inquiry from OPB as to whether they would be sending police to assist,

PORTLAND WANTS HELP WITH RIOTS

Gresham Police Department said, simply, “We are not sending anybody.”

The department later clarified it agreed with the statements from other agencies.

The Oregon Association Chiefs of Police and Oregon State Sheriff’s Association issued their own statement,

Saying the association’s members were approached to help out policing protests in Portland.

“Unfortunately, due to the lack of support for public safety operations,

The associated liability to agencies who would be assisting in Portland and the lack of accountability for those arrested committing criminal acts,

We cannot dedicate our limited resources away from the communities we serve,” read the statement.

“We know there will already be an additional burden on local law enforcement agencies as Oregon State Police Troopers are re-assigned to assist in Portland.”

To bring an end to the nightly violence, the groups said they wanted to see “a strong statement”

THEY CITED CRIMINAL ACTS ARE NOT PROTESTERS

By elected leaders “that criminal acts are not legitimate protest and that those who commit crimes will be held accountable.”

The trio of releases came after a Sunday night announcement from the governor outlining

“a unified law enforcement plan to protect free speech and bring violence and arson to an end in Portland.”

It was intended to help the stretched-thin Portland Police force respond to the demonstrations, which have entered their fourth month.

“With months of nightly protests stretching the Portland Police Bureau’s resources thin,

Additional local and state personnel, as well as federal resources, will give the Police Bureau the investigative capacity to arrest and charge those individuals who have engaged in violent or destructive acts and endangered public safety,” Brown’s announcement said.

Asked about the apparent rebuke from law enforcement agencies the governor’s plan relies on,

OSP CONTACTED OUTSIDE AGENCIES

Brown spokesman Charles Boyle said Oregon State Police had contacted the local agencies about the governor’s proposal on Sunday.

“It is up to each county to determine the personnel and resources they have available to volunteer for this effort,” Boyle said.

“We appreciate Clackamas County’s commitment to assist Oregon State Police with calls for service in Clackamas County while OSP is supporting the City of Portland, for example.”

Brown’s plan also called for Oregon State Police troopers to come into Portland.

According to the release, the police will offer to share more than two-dozen body cameras with Portland police, who do not use them.

The statements Monday are not the first time Oregon law enforcement agencies have indicated disinterest in staffing protests in Portland.

Earlier this month, the state police announced they would be moving troopers out of downtown,

Where they had been protecting the federal courthouse from demonstrators.

In doing so, the agency included a jab at Schmidt, the Multnomah County prosecutor.

“At this time we are inclined to move those resources back to counties where prosecution of criminal conduct is still a priority,” OSP Capt. Timothy Fox said at the time.

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement Monday that Brown had reached out to Schmidt before announcing her plan Sunday evening.

“We are supportive of Governor Brown’s efforts and we join her and others focused on bringing an end to the violence occurring in Portland,

While supporting the constitutional rights of everyone.

Our office always remains committed to prosecuting criminal offenses such as arson and physical violence.”

DAWG SAYS: THE PORTLAND OFFICIALS CREATED THIS MESS LET THEM GET OUT OF IT WITHOUT RISKING THE SAFETY OF OUTSIDE OFFICERS.

CHICAGO GANGS PLAN TO KILL COPS

CHICAGO GANGS PLAN TO KILL COPS

FBI Reports Chicago Gangs Have Formed Pact to Shoot Cops ‘On Sight’

A federal intelligence alert from the FBI field office in Chicago, Ill.,

Warned that about 30 gangs in the city have made a pact to shoot police officers if they draw their weapons in public, ABC 7 reported on Monday.

Intelligence alerts are frequently distributed to law enforcement officials, especially if the alerts involve threats to an officer’s safety.

This particular alert was based on “a contact whose reporting is limited and whose reliability cannot be determined,”

Meaning a street source, witness, or information obtained through surveillance.

The alert states that Chicago gangs have agreed to “shoot on-sight any cop that has a weapon drawn on any subject in public.”

“Members of these gang factions have been actively searching for, and filming, police officers in performance of their official duties,” the alert continues.

“The purpose of which is to catch on film an officer drawing his/her weapon on any subject

CHICAGO GANGS PLAN TO KILL COPS IN PUBLIC DISPLAYS

And the subsequent ‘shoot on-sight’ of said officer, in order to garner national media attention.”

In early August, mobs of people staged what appeared to be a coordinated spate of looting and vandalism at Chicago’s Magnificent Mile,

A stretch of high-end businesses in the city’s downtown.

The looting occurred after police shot and arrested a suspect in the Englewood neighborhood.

The looting was reportedly prompted by a rumor, which went viral on social media, that the cops had shot and killed a child,

When in fact they had injured a 20-year-old man.

Chicago has seen a rise in murders and shootings since the death of George Floyd earlier this year,

A surge in violence likely compounded by economic dislocation caused by the coronavirus pandemic and a rise in anti-police sentiment,

Which has reportedly led police in many cities to adopt less aggressive tactics.

There were 2,749 shooting victims in the city as of Monday, up 917 from the same period last year.

Chicago police superintendent David Brown, who started his position several weeks before the Floyd protests, said on Monday that,

“a sense of lawlessness” has been observed by officers on the street.

Brown also noted that the dangers for officers have dramatically increased.

“I think 51 officers being shot at or shot in one year, I think that quadruples any previous year in Chicago’s history,” Brown said.

“So I think it’s more than a suggestion that people are seeking to do harm to cops.”

IT’S A BIRD OR PLANE OR JETPACK?

IT’S A BIRD OR PLANE OR JETPACK?

Report of ‘guy in jetpack’ flying 3,000 feet in air at LAX

The FBI is investigating a report from airline pilots that a person was seen flying in a jetpack some 3,000 feet above Los Angeles International Airport Sunday evening.

The Federal Aviation Administration said two airline flight crews reported seeing what “appeared to be someone in a jetpack as they were on their final approaches to LAX around 6:35 p.m. PDT Sunday.”

Fox 11 Los Angeles obtained recordings of communications between the aircraft and the tower.

“Tower, American 1997, we just passed a guy in a jetpack,” a pilot said.

IT’S A BIRD OR PLANE OR JETPACK? FLYING AMONG THE PLANES

“American 1997, OK, thank you, were they off to your left side or your right side?” the controller asked.

“Off the left side at maybe 300 yards or so at our altitude,” the pilot said.

Another pilot also reported a sighting.

“We just saw the guy pass by us in the jetpack,” he said.

The controller then advised another aircraft flight crew to use caution.

“Person in a jetpack reported 300 yards south of the LA final at about 3,000 feet, 10-mile final,” the controller said.

Another pilot summed it up best: “Only in LA.”

The bizarre report as prompted much speculation as to why anyone with a jetpack would be flying in the line of incoming planes.

Steve Cowell, an aviation safety expert, said he believed the pilots’ reports.

“There’s no question in my mind that that American pilot was very definitive about what he saw out his window,” Cowell told Fox 11.

As of Tuesday, no one has come forward to take credit for the stunt. The FAA is also investigating.
