PELOSI ACTIONS CAUSE SALON TO CLOSE

PELOSI ACTIONS CAUSE SALON TO CLOSE

SF Salon Visited by Nancy Pelosi to Shut Its Doors

The San Francisco hair salon where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was spotted getting her hair done is closing its doors, the owner told Fox News late Wednesday.

Security footage of Pelosi inside of E salon went viral last week and thrust the Cow Hollow shop into the national spotlight.

Now, the salon owner, Erica Kious, said she is done.

Kious told Fox News host Tucker Carlson that she is closing the salon due to fallout of the controversial visit and security video release.

Kious said she initially released the video to show the contradiction of how Pelosi can seemingly feel safe enough to visit a salon for a blow-out,

But it is considered dangerous for others to visit.

The security footage quickly went viral, with politicians and other business owners weighing in, calling Pelosi hypocritical.

Kious said in the days that followed, she was bombarded with negative emails, calls and Yelp reviews,

PELOSI ACTIONS CAUSE SALON TO CLOSE FOR GOOD

And late Wednesday night, she told Carlson the pressure was simply too much.

After spending a decade and a half in the city, she was closing E salon.

“I’m actually afraid to go back just because of the messages and the emails that I’ve been getting,” Kious said.

“It’s a little scary and sad. I do have a lot of positive calls and messages from clients, but other than that, a lot of negativity.”

PELOSI PEOPLE STATEMENT

In a statement following the incident, Pelosi’s team maintained the speaker believed she was following the rules.

“This business offered for the Speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business. The Speaker complied with the rules as presented to her by this establishment,” the statement said.

DAWG SAYS: PELOSI HAS ALWAYS SAID SHE IS A FRIEND OF THE SMALL BUSINESS.

Fat Tuesday business license suspended over Labor Day weekend

A popular watering hole on the Strip got its license suspended by county officials over the Labor Day weekend.

The Fat Tuesday at Casino Royale received an emergency license suspension Sunday

For violating Gov. Steve Sisolak’s July 10 emergency directive “by not having a restaurant-type setting to serve alcohol in conjunction with food,” Clark County spokesman Dan Kulin said.

The New Orleans-style bar’s suspension “will be lifted when that type of business is allowed to open,” Kulin said in a statement.

A representative for Fat Tuesday did not respond to a request for comment

Over the long weekend, parts of the Strip and downtown saw an influx of tourists.

Sisolak taking in dinner, live entertainment

The last time we wrote of Pizzeria Monzu, it was to spotlight owner Gio Mauro’swondrous, homemade bread.

He and his wife, Las Vegas singer Naomi Mauro, were offering sourdough loaves for takeout for $7 apiece.

Those loaves became a Phase One Vegas shutdown hit.

We’re revisiting Monzu now, as a well-known patron dined at the restaurant Saturday night: Gov. Steve Sisolak.

He and his wife, Kathy, and another couple are shown in a video making the rounds since Sunday afternoon.

The video was edited and shared by none other than longtime “V — The Ultimate Variety Show” artist and emcee Wally Eastwood,

And recorded that night by a friend of Eastwood’s.

The video also surfaced about the same time on the @show_talent_productions Instagram page, with the message “Our Governor enjoying Live Entertainment?

I’m confused.”

Such sarcastic messages as:

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT IN LAS VEGAS and I HOPE OUR GOVERNOR DOES NOT SEE THIS! LIVE ENTERTAINMENT IS A NO NO!

Are edited into the 1 minute, 27-second clip.

The video has gone viral, at least in the Vegas entertainment community, with venue operators,

Business owners and entertainers sharing it on social media. “I guess he plays by different rules,” is one common (and printable) message.

Eastwood said Monday the message was not to shame the restaurant, but to generate a conversation about how live entertainment can reopen safely in Las Vegas.

The footage is shot from the second-level dining area down toward the main dining room.

It shows Mauro singing with her three-piece band, with Sisolak’s party a few feet from the stage on house right (VIP-type seats, actually).

A grand piano separates the Sisolak table from the stage.

The governor’s response

Sisolak responded by email to this original column post Monday morning:

“This weekend, Kathy and I were able to go to dinner at a local restaurant in Southern Nevada. It has come to my attention that questions have been raised over the fact that there was music being played. There is no prohibition on ambient background music, like what was playing at the restaurant — this has been allowed since the State entered Phase 2.

DAWG SAYS: MANY PEOPLE ARE ASKING WHY A RESTAURANT CAN SERVE FOOD AS LONG AS NO ALCOHOL IS SERVED.

DOES COVID KNOW THE DIFFERENCE?

THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE CLARIFICATION IN THIS DECISION PROCESS.

VOTING PRIORITY- CLOTHING OPTIONAL

VOTING PRIORITY- CLOTHING OPTIONAL

Topless voter shocks New Hampshire poll workers in dispute over political clothing rule
The T-shirt read ‘McCain Hero, Trump Zero’

A New Hampshire woman walked into a polling station Tuesday with a political T-shirt –

But pulled it off in a flash of defiance and voted topless when officials told her campaign clothing was banned, according to local reports.

The unidentified female entered an Exeter gymnasium with a shirt depicting President Trump and the late Sen. John McCain.

Town moderator Paul Scafidi told her she had to either take it off or cover it up —

So she slipped out of it and grabbed her ballot, the Union Leader recounted. She was not wearing anything underneath.

VOTING PRIORITY- CLOTHING OPTIONAL

“Boom! The shirt’s off,” Scafidi told the outlet. “And she’s standing there saying, ‘How’s this?'”

He said there were about 15 voters at the poll, and he didn’t notice any children.

But the voting booths had their curtains removed due to the coronavirus.

Andrea Shine, who witnessed the incident, said she laughed, according to the report.

“I think we all kind of needed it,” she said. “With everything going on in the world, it’s like, who cares?”

Still, it was unexpected for election officials.

“She could’ve just gone into the hallway and turned it inside-out,” Scafidi told Seacoast Online,

Adding that he could have had her lawfully removed but preferred not to escalate the situation.

“If she felt it was her right, more power to her,” he said.

“We all laughed about it as things were winding down, so I don’t know if it was a set-up, but I’ve never experienced anything like that.”

The T-shirt’s imagery mocked the president and praised McCain, reading, “McCain Hero, Trump Zero,” the outlet reported.

Lovey Roundtree Oliff, a member of the Exeter Board of Selectman, similar to a town board or council,

Said it happened so quickly, there was no time for anyone to complain, she told the Union Leader.

HOME DEPOT CANCELS BLACK FRIDAY

HOME DEPOT CANCELS BLACK FRIDAY

Black Friday as you know it is gone this year at Home Depot.

But don’t fret. The home improvement retailer said it’s just taking a different approach to the annual one-day deep discounts bonanza that occurs the day after Thanksgiving.

Instead of a single day, Home Depot said it will offer Black Friday discounts for two months, beginning in early November through December.

The retailer, in a statement on its website, said it decided to “reinvent” Black Friday this year,

In order to reduce stress for consumers who typically rush to stores in droves to grab the best deals.

Given the pandemic, the company indicated that maintaining safety was also a factor in its decision.

While the deals will be available both in its stores and online, it said mobile app users will get exclusive early access to some discounts in November.

The move comes at a time when retailers are rethinking their plans for the holiday shopping season as coronavirus cases rise, prompting concerns over crowds in stores.

Home Depot is keeping its stores closed on Thanksgiving.

Other retailers, including Walmart, also announced they will not open this year on the holiday.

For Walmart, this will be the first time in more than 30 years that the world’s largest retailer will be shuttered on Thanksgiving Day.

Unraveling of Black Friday

Even before the pandemic, industry watchers said Black Friday has been losing its relevance with shoppers in recent years.

One reason is because retailers started to spread their deals out over many days instead of just one day.

And consumers increasingly have turned to the internet to find even deeper deals than in-store bargains, forcing more holiday shopping to shift online.

“Black Friday has definitely transitioned more into a digital affair in the past five years,” said Neil Saunders,

Retail analyst and managing director at GlobalData Retail. “The focal point is not that single day anymore. It’s an event spread out over several days.”

Saunders expects Black Friday will be even more diminished this year, especially if Covid-19 sees a second wave in the fall and winter.

“As a single day, yes, much less relevant than ever this year,” he said.

TROOPER TO BLM: THIS IS NOT SEATTLE

This Isn’t Seattle!’ Washington State Troopers Rip BLM Militants Out of Car For Illegally Blocking Highway

BLM-Antifa terrorists shut down highway 99 during their “Seattle Morning March” so they thought they could rove into other parts of Washington and do the same.

BLM blocked traffic and protested on NB-15 freeway and thought they’d get away with it.

They thought wrong.

Washington State patrol wasn’t having it and arrested every single BLM driver illegally blocking the highway.

Law enforcement had enough and ripped the Black Lives Matter militant out of the driver’s seat

TROOPER TO BLM: THIS IS NOT SEATTLE

And pushed back against others in the car claiming that they are ‘allowed’ to block the street.

‘This isn’t Seattle!’ the trooper yelled.

A black woman hurled racist insults to at a black trooper: “You’re a house n*****!”
