Probation – And May Never Have To Complete Treatment

It was intended to reduce the caseload for probation officers so they could focus on rehabilitating convicts and “to end wasteful spending,” but some say a new law is letting child sex predators off early – in some cases before they complete rehabilitation.

AB-1950, the probation reform bill that took effect this year, limits probation for misdemeanors to up to one-year, and for most felonies, up to two-years probation. There are exclusions for some of the most serious crimes, but as the law is being implemented, critics point to a loophole for crimes involving child predators.

One victim, we’ll refer to as Jane Doe, says her abuse began shortly after her stepfather died. Doe says her new soccer coach quickly stepped in to fill that father figure role…….

DAWG SAYS: FOR SOME REASON CALIFORNIA HAS THIS TREMENDOUS SOFT SPOT FOR SEX OFFENDERS.

Marilyn Manson wanted on active arrest warrant in New Hampshire: police, The rocker’s attorney slammed allegations that Manson shot ‘snot’ at a cameraperson as ‘ludicrous’

An arrest warrant for Marilyn Manson was issued on Tueday by police in New Hampshire after the musician allegedly failed to answer to pending charges for a 2019 incident involving a videographer.

The Gilford Police Department issued a statement on its Facebook page explaining that the arrest warrant for Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, was issued for two counts of Class A misdemeanor simple assault at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion.

“Warner, his agent and legal counsel have been aware of the warrant for some time and no effort has been made by him to return to New Hampshire to answer the pending charges,” police said.

Police told Fox News on Tuesday that Manson was performing a concert at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on August 18, 2019, when the alleged simple assaults occurred.

Authorities explained that in the state of New Hampshire, arrest warrants can be issued by bail commissioners and thus, the initial assault report was investigated and an arrest warrant affidavit was prepared by the investigating officer.

COUPLE DOWNSIZES TO TINY HOUSE TO GET RID OF DEBT

COUPLE DOWNSIZES TO TINY HOUSE TO GET RID OF DEBT

Couple Build Tiny Home to Pay Off $125,000 Debt in 2 Years, Embrace ‘Tiny Lifestyle’

Determined to get out of their six-figure debt, couple Marek and Ko Bush drafted a plan to downsize their debt by miniaturizing their home.

Two years later, after moving into the tiny house they designed, the couple became completely debt-free—and ready to tackle the next project in their lives: building a family. Their baby girl was born in March.

In 2017, Marek and Ko, from Kansas City, Missouri, were living in a 1,100-square-foot (102-square-meter) loft apartment in Florida. After doing the math and realizing they were $125,000 in debt, they set out drafting a budget to fix this.

“We decided we were going to pay off everything we owed,” Marek told Business Insider. Marek, who works in retail security, started looking into tiny homes, suspecting that downsizing would massively reduce their expenses.

Ko, a teacher and waitress, wasn’t convinced right away.

“It was the change of it all,” she explained. “We had a lot of furniture, and I just wasn’t ready to let go of it. But once I got it through my head that it was just material things, I was like, ‘You know what, it’s a good idea.'”
