SATIRE POST OF THE DAY: CNN HIRES TRUMP AS ANCHOR TO REGAIN VIEWERS

CNN Hires Trump As News Anchor To Recover Lost Viewers

In order to bring back the viewers it’s lost since the 2020 election ended, CNN is rehiring the biggest draw for its audience: former President Trump, who will host all the news segments every night on prime time.

“What we’ve discovered since the election is people only watched our station to see Trump, so we’re hiring him to anchor our programs,” said Bob CNN, owner and founder of the cable news station. “This will finally get our ratings out of the dump.”

During his first night on the job, Trump simply yelled about election fraud for two hours. “Very sad, very pathetic, worst-run election in history, maybe ever! Worse than North Korea!” he said to an audience of millions, CNN’s largest in many months. “Frankly, any ballot cast against me is suspect. You really believe that someone would walk into an election booth and look at me and Sleepy Joe and choose Sleepy Joe? No. Can’t happen. Fake news. Not good. Sad!”

After this, the rest of the hosts for the night just yelled about Trump whiningt about election fraud, and repeating over and over “ORANGE MAN BAD.”

SPAINS UNEQUAL EQUALITY STAMPS

Spain criticized for unequally priced “equality stamps”

This photo released by Spain’s postal service Correos on Friday May 28, 2021, shows a set of four stamps to signify different skin-colored tones. Spain’s postal service is feeling a backlash from its well-intentioned effort to highlight racial inequality. The company this week issued a set of four stamps in different skin-colored tones. The darker the stamp, the lower the price. The postal service calls them “Equality Stamps” and launched them on the first anniversary of George Floyd’s murder in Minneapolis. It said the stamps “reflect an unfair and painful reality that shouldn’t be allowed.” The state-owned company’s goal was to “shine a light on racial inequality and promote diversity, inclusion and equal rights.” But critics are accusing it of having a tin ear for racial issues and misreading Black sentiment.

“A campaign that outrages those it claims to defend is always a mistake,” historian tweets

Spain’s postal service is feeling a backlash from its attempt to highlight racial inequality.

State-owned Correos España this week issued a set of four stamps in different skin-colored tones. The darker the stamp, the lower the price. The lightest color costs 1.60 euros ($1.95). The darkest one costs 0.70 euros ($0.85).

The postal service calls them “Equality Stamps” and introduced them on the anniversary of George Floyd being killed by a police officer in Minneapolis. It said the stamps “reflect an unfair and painful reality that shouldn’t be allowed” and that every letter or parcel sent with them would “send a message against racial inequality.”

ANOTHER WALMART STORY THAT MAKES ME SMH

ANOTHER WALMART STORY THAT MAKES ME SMH

He’s been asking Walmart to pick up its trash for 3 years.

But when he did it himself, Walmart called the police.

A Bethel man, who said he’s been asking managers at Walmart in Mexico and Oxford to clean up trash behind their stores, was ordered Wednesday to leave the Mexico property, after employees saw him picking up trash next to the Androscoggin River.

Tony Bennett said he’s advised managers at both stores for the past three years that he’s had enough of the trash building up outside their stores. He said when he saw hundreds of face masks, empty Walmart bags, Dunkin’ containers and used diapers spread out and obviously raked down the riverbank Wednesday morning, he couldn’t stand it.

“They literally just raked (the trash down the banking),” he said. “They raked from 20 feet to the pavement all the way to bank and they dumped it over the bank right with all of the leaves and debris and garbage for 100 feet long, 20 feet wide and put it right over the bank, with all the other trash.”

He said he told the manager Wednesday morning, “You’re the manager and you’re allowing this to happen in the River Valley? I said, ‘164 miles of the Androscoggin River, 3,530 miles of watershed and you’re allowing your store to disrespect us like this? And you’re not doing nothing about it?'”

Bennett spent the morning picking up garbage behind the store, but after employees noticed him, managers told him to leave the property. When he didn’t, Mexico Police Officer Lawrence Briggs arrived and Bennett left on his own.

MAYOR CANDIDATE/DEFUND THE POLICE ADVOCATE HAS CAR JACKED IN ATLANTA

Atlanta ‘defund the police’ backer has car stolen — by kids in broad daylight

Antonio Brown voted earlier this year to withhold $73 million from the Atlanta police budget

An Atlanta city councilman – who is aiming to be the city’s next mayor – had his car stolen by children in broad daylight Wednesday, according to reports.

Councilman Antonio Brown was attending a ribbon-cutting ceremony at an event in northeast Atlanta around noon when at least four kids jumped into his car and took off, FOX 5 of Atlanta reported.

“You don’t immediately think, ‘Oh, these kids are going to steal my car,'” Brown said, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The incident occurred amid a recent crime wave in the city. Brown, who joined the city’s mayoral race less than three weeks ago, is running on a campaign of “reimagining public safety,” the paper reported.

Last year, he voted in support of an ordinance to withhold $73 million from the budget of the Atlanta Police Department. The ordinance was narrowly voted down.

DAWG SAYS: SO, I WONDER WHO HE CALLED TO REPORT IT?
